🏫 Liberty Hill ISD plans major expansions at three elementary schools

The Gist: Liberty Hill ISD is making room for all the new students headed our way. Bill Burden, Rancho Sienna, and Santa Rita elementaries are all being expanded to hold about 1,000 students each instead of 800. Construction is slated to start in September and run through August 2027. The projects are funded through the 2021 and 2023 bond packages and add up to roughly $23.5 million.
Why It Matters: The district is growing quickly, so adding space now helps keep class sizes manageable as enrollment rises. It feels like a smart, steady step to support families putting down roots in our fast-growing area.

🍳 Denny’s is headed to Liberty Hill

The Gist: Looks like Liberty Hill is getting a Denny’s, and yep, we know this one will get a range of reactions! A new project filing shows it’s planned for 10280 W State Hwy 29 as part of a roughly $3 million development. The site is just under 12,000 square feet total and will include a convenience store plus two lease spaces. One of those spots is already claimed by Denny’s. If all stays on schedule, construction could start around mid-March 2026 and wrap by February 2027.
Why It Matters: Liberty Hill keeps growing fast, and this adds another familiar, easy dining option along a busy stretch. Some will be excited to have a go-to for pancakes and coffee, others less so, but either way it’s a practical addition for everyday meals and travelers passing through. It’s also another sign of how quickly Highway 29 is filling in!
