💐 Happy Mother's Day

To all the mamas out there—whether you’re hoping for a quiet morning to yourself, a loud house full of chaos and cuddles, or a chance to hug your own mom—whatever makes you feel seen, celebrated, and recharged this weekend, I hope you get it.

I feel insanely lucky to be a mom. Even luckier to be raising my kids here—where there’s always something fun to do, the neighbors feel like family, and the teachers and community pour so much into our kids. We are surrounded by good people and we’re beyond lucky.

Wishing you a weekend that feels exactly right.

🛠️ Home Depot is on the Way!

A new Home Depot is on the way to Leander, set to open in spring 2026 at 9549 183A, near the intersection of Hero Way. It’ll be a full-size store—145,000 square feet—with all the usual stuff: tools, appliances, building supplies, and project help.

For folks in the area, it means you won’t have to drive as far for weekend fixes or bigger renovations. Just a solid, practical addition as the city keeps growing. Read more here.

🎶 Cedar Park Earns Music Certification

Cedar Park just got named a Music Friendly Texas Certified Community by the Texas Music Office.

It’s a nod to the work the city’s been doing to support local musicians, venues, and music fans—making space for creativity and helping the local scene grow.

With this recognition, Cedar Park joins 80+ cities across Texas focused on building music-friendly economies and keeping the arts front and center as part of everyday life. Read more here.

💦 Brushy Creek Splash Pad Reopens with Major Upgrades

The Brushy Creek Splash Pad officially reopened yesterday with a refreshed look and major upgrades. Families can expect 36 new spray features, shaded seating, and Texas’ first-ever TITAN Speed Racer—an epic water play structure that can handle 30 kids at once!

Safety updates include a recirculated water system, weather alerts, and a slip-resistant surface. There are three separate play zones and a cozy area for grownups to lounge nearby. We will definitely be checking this one out ASAP! Read more here.

🥖 Ziggy’s Kielbasa House - Leander

It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Ziggy’s Kielbasa House in Leander, closing in June after six years of bringing authentic Polish flavors to our community.

From their famous kielbasa and pierogi to the delightful Pasztet, this family-owned shop has been a go-to for many and we’re super sad to see it go. If you haven’t had a chance yet, stop by soon for their delicious meats and market items before they close. 😢 Read more here.
