Ziggy’s Kielbasa House, located in Leander, has announced it will be closing its doors in June, marking the end of a six-year run as one of the area’s most beloved sources of authentic Polish cuisine. Known for its handmade meats, pierogi, and homestyle pantry items, the shop has been a treasured stop for many Central Texans seeking Eastern European comfort food.
The heart of Ziggy’s menu has always been its namesake kielbasa—smoked Polish sausage that drew customers from across the region. Regulars also returned for the hand-pinched pierogi, richly seasoned Pasztet (a traditional meat pâté), and other rotating specials that reflected the owners’ Polish roots. Beyond hot foods, Ziggy’s stocked a small market section with imported treats and take-home meats.
Operated by a local family, the deli built a loyal following not just for the food, but for its warm, welcoming service.
Ziggy’s will remain open through June, offering one final opportunity for fans to savor their favorites or stock up on meats and market goods. Patrons can follow their Facebook page for updates and possible specials as the shop winds down operations.
While the closure marks the end of an era for Leander food lovers, Ziggy’s Kielbasa House will be remembered for the flavor and heart it brought to the community.
