Can you believe summer technically hasnāt even started yet? The solstice is still a couple days away, but it already feels like weāre halfway through. Timeās flying, and weāre doing our best to soak up every hot minute of it.
Weāve had a blast at so many local events lately. Shoutout to Leander Dad Fest for being an absolute hit last weekend. Huge props to Dads Assisting Dads and all the awesome sponsors who made it happen. Itās always cool to see the community show up, have fun, and celebrate the people who help hold it all together!

The gist: Central Texas SPCA is breaking ground on a new shelter in 909 S Bagdad Rd, Leander, on 06/20.
Why it matters: For nearly 40 years, this no-kill nonprofit has been a safe haven for dogs and cats in need. The new space will offer cozier kennels, better vet care, and more room to meet adoptive families.

The gist:
Liberty Hill ISD just approved a 160-acre land purchase off RM 1869, aiming to stay ahead of the areaās rapid growth with space for a future school campus.
Why it matters:
With enrollment expected to nearly double by 2035, the district is planning smart. This land could hold a middle and high school, or an elementary and middle school, depending on how the community grows. It's a big step to ensure classrooms keep pace with rooftops.
Whatās next:
The board will vote to finalize the purchase in the next 30ā60 days.

š Liberty Hill Public Library

355 Main St, Liberty Hill
Iāve been taking the kiddos to this quaint little library for years. We absolutely love it.
Itās small but mighty. Packed with fun events year-round, the best summer reading program, and creative ways to get kids excited about books.
The staff? Incredible. Always kind, helpful, and they make it feel like home.
This is an awesome place to give back, gain skills, earn service hours, and make a real impact in the community. The next volunteer training for teens (14+) is in August, but adults can reach out anytime to get involved.
Hereās how you can help:
š«±š¼āš«²š¼ Support events
šØ Prep crafts, assist with kidsā programs, help with cleanup
š Shelve books, look up items, assist patrons
Itās a great way to support a place that gives so much. ā¤ļø

1320 Cypress Creek Road Ste 100, Cedar Park
This modern Thai fusion spot brings bold flavors and generous portions to Cedar Park, with a menu that blends Thai, Vietnamese, and Indian influences. Fan favorites include the pad see ew, minced beef salad, and richly spiced red curry.
The Thai tea is a must, and donāt skip the pork ribs with sticky rice. Cozy atmosphere, customizable spice levels, and friendly service make it a local go-to with loyal fans.

19380 Ronald Reagan Blvd Ste 420, Leander
A neighborhood go-to for quick, satisfying Tex-Mex with a generous side of charm. The combo plates are stacked, the barbacoaās a standout, and the fresh tortillas keep regulars coming back.
Sit inside the spacious dining room or kick back on the dog-friendly patio. Either way, your food hits the table fast and hot. Our kids love the giant booths and the all-day breakfast. Bonus points for strong margaritas and fun mariachi nights!
