We just got back from a family trip to Sedona, Arizona and I know it’s not local, but I can't recommend it enough. The red rock views, peaceful hikes, and slower pace were exactly what we needed. Pure reset.

Now we're home just in time for summer to start winding down. Hard to believe school starts in a couple of weeks, so we're soaking up every bit of break while we can.

One thing we love this time of year is setting aside one-on-one time with each kid. It makes these last summer days feel more personal and memorable.

What are your end-of-summer traditions? Anything fun, creative, or sweet? I'd love to hear your ideas! Always looking for fresh ways to close out the season. 🌞

🏗️ Leander Springs Project Hits New Snag

A conceptual image of the planned lagoon at Leander Springs.

The Gist: Leander’s Planning and Zoning Commission voted to deny an updated plan for the long-delayed 78-acre Leander Springs development, which promised apartments, retail, a hotel, and a four-acre lagoon near FM 2243 and US 183A.

Developers wanted to reduce units, cap building heights, and revise timelines, but without approval, the project is stalled.

Why It Matters: This decision adds another roadblock to the $1 billion project that would be a game-changer for Leander. Now we’re faced with more delays and more waiting.

Who’s making moves in this market? Grandparents! Lately, I’ve had a wave of calls from grandparents ready to trade out-of-state living for quality time with their Texas grandkids. Let’s be honest, nothing pulls at the heartstrings like squishy cheeks and sideline seats at every game.

If you know someone thinking about making the move to be closer to family (or for any reason at all), I’d be honored to help them find a home here in Texas.

🍔 The Burger Bar – Cedar Park

2005 Little Elm Trail Building A - Suite 100, Cedar Park

I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place already and it’s number one on our list of new places to check out.

Cedar Park just got a new go-to spot, The Burger Bar on Little Elm Trail. Fresh smash burgers, crispy wings, stacked chicken sandwiches are making it a new local favorite.

The Cowboy Candy burger sounds amazing if you're into a little heat. They've got big-screen TVs, a full bar, and a chill, family-friendly vibe. And remember, calories don’t count when the burger has a cool name. That’s science. 😉

Dreams do come true. Summer Moon officially opened in Leander on July 19, and the fire-roasted beans have already won over the neighborhood. The space is bright and welcoming, perfect for working, people-watching, or pretending to work while sipping something iced and creamy.

Locals are hooked on the signature Moon Milk drinks, cold brew, and baked goods like babka and muffins. Friendly staff, cozy vibes, and strong coffee make this an easy favorite.
