Families in the Leander ISD community can get ready for the new school year without added financial stress. The LISD Council of PTAs Clothes Closet will host its annual Back-to-School event on Saturday, August 2, 2025, providing free clothing for students from Pre-K through 12th grade who live within district boundaries. No income requirements or vouchers are needed.

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Students will have access to gently used school clothes as well as new socks and underwear. Families only need to reside within Leander ISD boundaries to participate.
About the Clothes Closet
The Clothes Closet is a volunteer-run program under the Leander ISD Council of PTAs. Its mission is to support families by providing school-appropriate clothing at no cost. Throughout the year, the organization also hosts additional events such as Teen Night, a Winter Coat Giveaway, and a Prom Shop.
Regular shopping hours include every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The program follows the Leander ISD academic calendar and closes on school holidays and bad weather days.
