🎉 SCHEELS’ grand opening date confirmed!

Gotta love a 3-day weekend. Four-day workweeks always seem to fly by, and we’ll never say no to an extra day with the kiddos. ❤️

I was looking at the calendar and realized that after this week our district only has three more weeks of school until spring break. Hard to believe! We’ll be sticking around town this year, and we’re lucky enough to have my mom coming in from Colorado, which is always the best. The kids love getting some quality Mimi time.

The Gist: Cedar Park SCHEELS will officially open August 29, 2026, and it’s going to be huge. The 300,000-square-foot store will include more than 75 specialty shops, a 65-foot indoor Ferris wheel, a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, and Ginna’s Café. They’ll also offer things like golf club fittings, bike repairs, and archery fittings with trained experts on hand to help.

Why It Matters: This will be just the second SCHEELS in Texas, and it’s shaping up to be a full-on family destination for Cedar Park. Between the Ferris wheel, the giant aquarium, and plenty to explore, it sounds like one of those places you go for “just a quick stop” and end up staying for hours. I know my kids are already counting down to that Ferris wheel ride!
