The new Cedar Park SCHEELS will open this summer, offering a 300,000-square-foot sporting goods store with specialty shops, family-friendly attractions, and community programs in the Austin area.
A large retail footprint with specialty shops
SCHEELS is a sporting goods retailer that carries outdoor gear, sporting equipment, apparel, and footwear. The Cedar Park store will offer products from brands such as Nike, On, and Garmin, along with exclusive SCHEELS Outfitters items. Associates complete training through SCHEELS University to build product knowledge and assist customers with purchases.
In-store attractions and dining
The store is designed to offer more than traditional retail. Planned features include a 65-foot indoor Ferris wheel and a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium. Guests will also find Ginna’s Café, which will serve soups, sandwiches, and other menu items. Interactive games, sports simulators, and a candy shop are also planned as part of the in-store experience.
Service offerings
Cedar Park SCHEELS will provide services such as golf club fittings, bike repairs and tune-ups, and archery equipment setup and maintenance. The store’s specialty areas will focus on activities including fishing, hiking, hunting, and team sports.
Community plans
As an employee-owned company, SCHEELS states it plans to support the Cedar Park community through volunteer efforts, in-store events, partnerships with local nonprofits, and support for youth sports programs. Store leaders say they look forward to welcoming customers on opening day.
