Project overview
A new retail development known as Ace Square is planned for the northwest corner of State Highway 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Liberty Hill. The project will be anchored by Walmart, according to a leasing flyer released by commercial brokerage RESOLUT RE.
The development was first reported in August 2025 and is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2026.
What’s planned
Ace Square will include two retail buildings, each offering flexible lease space ranging from 1,200 to 13,000 square feet. The layout is designed to accommodate a mix of small and mid sized businesses.
In addition to Walmart as the primary anchor, the center is described as being shadow anchored by nearby H E B and a future Lowe’s location. Shadow anchoring typically refers to large retailers located close enough to drive customer traffic to the surrounding development.
Potential tenants
The leasing materials list several businesses as proposed tenants for Ace Square. These include Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Bubba’s 33, PetSmart and Ross. No opening dates or signed leases for these businesses were included in the materials.

Why it matters
The Ace Square project adds to the growing list of retail developments planned for Liberty Hill as the city continues to see population growth and increased commercial interest along major corridors like Highway 29.
If delivered as planned, the center would expand shopping and dining options in the area while reinforcing Liberty Hill’s role as a regional retail destination.
