The Twin Lakes Family YMCA in Cedar Park is breaking ground on a new expansion this week that will bring a major outdoor upgrade to its campus. Located at 204 E. Little Elm Trail, the project includes a large-scale adventure course and a covered pavilion designed to support its bustling summer camp and welcome public use during the off-season.
During the summer months, hundreds of kids attend camp at Twin Lakes YMCA. The new adventure course will accommodate up to 100 kids at a time, enhancing the camp experience with more outdoor activities. Once summer wraps up, the course will open to the public, giving local families and outdoor enthusiasts another way to stay active and engaged throughout the year.
The expansion is funded by Williamson County and supported by donations from local residents and businesses. Construction is expected to take between 9 and 12 months. The pavilion will provide shaded space for programs, gatherings, and rest between adventures, making the area more versatile for year-round use.
This development marks another step in the YMCA’s ongoing commitment to providing inclusive spaces for health, learning, and play in Cedar Park. With more infrastructure in place, the Twin Lakes location aims to meet growing demand for quality outdoor experiences and community programming.
