🛣️ Study approved for viability of toll road on Ronald Reagan
Cedar Park has officially approved a study for the possibility of adding toll lanes to Ronald Reagan Blvd to address increasing traffic.
The plan they’re studying would be to keep two free frontage roads, but add toll lanes on top of the two each way we already have. Timeline is 7-10 years from now, IF it were to be officially approved, which likely won’t be for at least a year.
Ignoring all the other pros and cons of something this transformational for our area, just the construction alone for multiple years seems horrendous. 👎
👷♂️ The Shoppes at Bell Blvd Breaks Ground
Cedar Park and Leander officials came together to break ground on a new shopping center that will bring the area’s first rooftop dining experience. The Shoppes at Bell Blvd will feature restaurants, retail, and office space along the Bell District, with plans to open by mid-2026.
While no tenants have been confirmed yet, early talks are in progress for restaurants, a liquor store, and a dental office.
🚧 183A Toll Extension Delayed
Quick update on the 183A toll extension: the project, which aims to stretch the toll road from Hero Way up to north of State Highway 29 in Liberty Hill, has hit a bit of a snag.
Originally slated to open in March, the timeline is now uncertain due to unforeseen delays. We'll keep you posted as we learn more. Read more here.
