A new mixed-use development featuring a hotel, entertainment venues, and retail space is planned for Leander. ARS Developers is preparing a 21-acre project located off Hero Way, south of the CR 270 intersection, with an anticipated opening by 2028.

The development is expected to introduce new lodging, dining, recreation, and commercial options to the area.

What’s included in the development

Plans for the site call for a mix of hospitality, entertainment, and commercial uses, including:

  • A four-story, major-flag hotel with 123 rooms, along with a separate one-story lodge

  • A Big Air trampoline and adventure park spanning more than 32,000 square feet

  • A sports bar covering nearly 13,000 square feet, located next to the trampoline park

  • An 11,500-square-foot event center connected to an outdoor lawn

  • More than 45,000 square feet of retail space

  • A 31,200-square-foot warehouse

  • A dedicated dog park

Location and transportation context

The project site is located along a section of Hero Way that is slated for major roadway improvements. Williamson County officials broke ground on the first phase of the Hero Way and RM 2243 reconstruction and widening project on Jan. 29.

That initial phase includes a frontage road connecting 183A Toll to Garey Park, with completion scheduled for early 2028, according to county information.

Economic outlook

A representative for ARS Developers said the project is expected to generate increased economic activity in Leander as new businesses and visitors are drawn to the area.

Once completed, the development will add new amenities near one of the city’s growing transportation corridors.
