Hard to believe soccer season is already winding down! Next weekend is the championship game, and both kids have had such a great season.
Watching my kids work hard at a game they love is truly one of my favorite things in life. Their grit, energy, and enthusiasm are contagious, and it’s been so fun to see them grow, cheer on their teammates, and keep showing up with heart week after week. 💗⚽

🚁 Leander tests drones for faster response
The Gist: Leander Police are testing a “Drone as First Responder” program through mid-May, giving officers a live look at certain calls before they arrive. The idea is to help them understand what’s happening sooner and respond more efficiently.
Why It Matters: In an emergency, a few minutes can make a big difference. If the program works well, it could help officers get the right help to the right place faster, while also avoiding unnecessary delays or responses when a call turns out to be less urgent.
💦 Splash pads open across area parks
Splash pad season is starting to pick up around the area, giving us all a free or low-cost way to cool off as the Texas heat rolls in. A few local favorites are already open, with more on the way.
This is an easy summer win for families. No big plan, no big spend, just swimsuits, sunscreen, and a place for kids to burn off energy on a hot afternoon.
