San Gabriel Roadwork Contract Approved
Some useful news for our Leander community - the City Council has approved the next step in improving our local roads. On January 16, 2025, they awarded a $6.9 million contract to Patin Construction, LLC to build the San Gabriel Parkway East Phase 2 extension.
What's Happening in Our Area
This project will extend San Gabriel Parkway eastward from Isaias Drive to Ronald W. Reagan Boulevard, running between the Palmera Ridge and Palmera Bluff neighborhoods. (A future Phase 3 project will eventually complete the connection from County Road 270 to Ronald Reagan Boulevard.)
When Will Construction Begin?
The timeline is still being worked out. City staff is currently working with the contractor to determine the construction schedule. Updates will be shared as they become available.
February Community Meeting
The City of Leander hosted a Community Meeting back on February 18, 2025, at Tarvin Elementary School. During the meeting, city officials provided information about the project and explained what residents can expect during the construction process.
