Hope everyone made the most of the “snow day”! Our kids were dreaming of building a snowman, but settled for just bundling up and gathering whatever tiny amount of snow they could find. Stay warm and safe—the Texas sunshine will be back before we know it!

A couple of quick updates for you this week:

A New Name, A Bigger Scoop

Our sister newsletter, Georgetown Scoop, is getting a major upgrade! Starting with tomorrow’s edition, it’s officially becoming Round Rock Scoop. Why the change? We’re expanding our coverage to include not just Georgetown, but also Round Rock and Hutto.

If you’re subscribed, you’ll still get all the local updates you count on for Georgetown, but now with even more value—covering the broader community. Our goal is to keep you informed and make it easier to stay in the loop about everything happening across the area.

🏡 Santa Rita Ranch: Austin's #1 Selling Neighborhood

Santa Rita Ranch stays at the top, earning Austin’s #1 selling master-planned community for the fifth year in a row. Even more impressive, it’s in the top 20 nationally!

The neighborhood’s affordability is a major draw, with homes starting in the $300,000s, well below Austin’s median price of $573,400. Plus, its amenities, like a massive 8-acre complex and brand new schools, make it an even more appealing choice for buyers.

💧 Liberty Hill Water Plans Moving Forward

Liberty Hill is making strides to secure its long-term water supply by working with Georgetown and Round Rock. The City Council approved a $25,000 preliminary engineering report to assess improvements needed for two connection points with Georgetown’s water system: US 183/Hwy 29 and CR 277 near Liberty Hill High School.

The US 183 connection is ready to supply water as soon as a contract with Georgetown is signed, which could happen by the end of this month. A short-term deal is expected to last until June 30, while engineers prepare designs and cost estimates for long-term upgrades.

💰 Cedar Park Invests in Jobs and Growth

Cedar Park just approved $300K to help a mineral extraction company, ElementUSA, set up its headquarters right here in town! This move is part of a larger push to attract innovative businesses and boost local jobs.

The funding includes infrastructure improvements and job incentives, aiming to make Cedar Park a hub for exciting new ventures. Big things are happening, Cedar Park!
