A neighborhood spot with history
At 203 N Brushy St, Leander, Night Owl has grown into the kind of place that feels both new and familiar. Co-owner Danny Parrott, who first got his start running a food truck back in 2009, wanted to build something more community-driven than the hustle of Austin’s bar scene.
When the city of Leander began reimagining its Old Town district, he saw the perfect fit. By 2021, Night Owl opened its doors, blending fresh energy with old-town character. Look up and you’ll see ceiling panels made from reclaimed doors and windows, and in the courtyard, horseshoes dug up during construction now line the space with a bit of Leander history.
Cocktails, food trucks, and more

The drink menu changes with the seasons, keeping things interesting. Summer often leans tropical, with playful takes like the Corn Colada, while cooler weather brings warm cocktails made for chilly nights. Of course, you can still get a cold draft or a solid pour of bourbon if that’s more your style.
Food trucks round out the experience, with The Boss Cheesesteaks and Tacos Take It Easy parked onsite most nights. Between bites, you can relax on the dog-friendly patio or catch the big game on the oversized outdoor screen. Movie nights are a favorite too, with bartenders mixing up themed cocktails to match what’s on the projector.
The vibe inside

It’s casual, lively, and easygoing, the kind of place where the bartender remembers your drink and strangers strike up conversation. Open late seven days a week (and until 2 a.m. on weekends), Night Owl has quickly become a rare local spot where you don’t have to cut the night short.
