A hyperlocal giving day comes back in March
Amplify Wilco Day is returning for its third year, giving Williamson County residents another opportunity to support local nonprofits during a focused 24-hour online giving event. Organized by I Live Here I Give Here, the campaign will run from 6 p.m. March 4 through 6 p.m. March 5, alongside the larger Amplify Austin Day.
The event is designed to spotlight nonprofits that serve Williamson County, with more than 90 participating organizations expected in 2026.
How the event works
Donations of $5 or more can be made through AmplifyWilco.org, where donors can browse nonprofits across 19 cause categories. Those include areas such as basic needs, children and families, veterans, animals, the arts, racial equity, and the environment.
Participating organizations this year include Central Texas Food Bank, Central Texas SPCA, Partners4People, Taylor Pride, and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center, among others.
Early giving opens Jan. 28. Donations made during the early giving period count toward Amplify Wilco Day totals, incentives, and prize opportunities.
Why organizers say it matters
According to I Live Here I Give Here Executive Director Piper Stege Nelson, demand for nonprofit services across Central Texas continues to rise while resources remain tight. She said Amplify Wilco Day is meant to encourage collective generosity and ensure local organizations can continue meeting community needs.
Amplify Wilco Day runs in parallel with Amplify Austin Day, which has raised more than $122 million for Central Texas nonprofits since 2013.
Ways individuals and businesses can get involved
Community members can participate not only as donors, but also as Fundraising Champions by rallying support for nonprofits they care about. Local businesses are also encouraged to take part by creating Company Giving Pages, which allow employees to donate, set team goals, and compete for participation and fundraising recognition.
There is no cost for businesses to register a Company Giving Page.
As the event enters its third year, Amplify Wilco Day continues to build momentum as a moment when Williamson County shows up for its own.
