⚾ Cedar Park’s Perfect Game complex set for 2027 start

The Gist: Cedar Park’s long-anticipated Perfect Game baseball and softball complex now has a new timeline, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and wrap up in 2029.

The 110-acre site at Ronald Reagan Boulevard and CR 272 will feature 16 turf fields, a 300-room hotel, retail, restaurants, and Perfect Game’s headquarters. The project was delayed by wetland permitting requirements but has cleared those hurdles.

Why It Matters: Once complete, the facility could draw up to 750,000 visitors annually, boosting tourism, local jobs, and economic growth in Cedar Park.

🔥 Texas barbecue’s boom and grind (feat. Agape BBQ)

YouTube recommended the above video to me since I love business content and BBQ (algorithm really works!). Started watching it and was surprised to see that our very own Agape BBQ in Liberty Hill is featured heavily in the first half.

Really interesting to learn how the BBQ restaurant business is so much different than almost any other, and especially how one publication’s Top 50 list can make or break a restaurant (Texas Monthly).

If you’re curious about the BBQ business in Texas, this video is a great watch. And if you find yourself in downtown Liberty Hill soon, be sure to swing by Agape and show them some support!

✏️🍎 Back to School, Back to Business

The kids might be heading back to class, but the real estate market is not taking a recess this year. While fall is usually a slower season, there is some extra buzz in the air with talk of interest rates possibly dropping in September.

That could mean more buyers raising their hands and a busier than usual market ahead. If you have been thinking about making a move, sharpen your pencils because this could be your pop quiz moment to get ahead of the curve.

🥞 The legend of Nick’s lives up to the hype

901 Crystal Falls Pkwy, Leander

If you’re looking for a real hometown spot, Nick’s Breakfast and Coffee is it. Fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked omelets, and scratch-made gravy are just the start.

The menu is huge, the bacon is thick-cut, and even the gluten-free toast gets rave reviews. With Nick himself checking on tables, it feels more like visiting friends than going out to eat.

601 E Whitestone Blvd # 200, Cedar Park

Fresh seafood, hearty Cajun flavors, and a sprawling menu make C.R. Surf & Turf a local favorite. From gumbo loaded with shrimp to salt and pepper frog legs, fried clam baskets, and seafood pasta, every dish comes out flavorful and generously portioned.

Service is warm, prices are fair, and the variety keeps regulars coming back. Whether you’re craving lobster ravioli or crawfish by the pound, this spot delivers.
