Anyone else’s calendar starting to look like a game of holiday Tetris? I love this time of year, but it flies by. We’re having a blast, but still ending up totally wiped out. Every December I wish time would slow down just a little so we could really soak it in.

This week alone we’ve got everything from the Trail of Lights and Liberty Hill Christmas Festival to cozy Cookies and Carols, Holidays with the Horses, and winter festivals all around town. We’re not trying to do it all, but we are aiming for a couple favorites and a little sparkle while it’s here. We can sleep in January, right?

A+ Bounce House Party Rentals gets great reviews for clean inflatables, good prices, and fast, reliable service, and after using them ourselves, I totally get why. We’ve rented at least two bounce houses every year and tried a bunch of local companies over time, but this was hands-down the best experience we’ve had.

They were prompt, super communicative, genuinely friendly, and the bounce house showed up spotless. They even leaf-blew it out after setup, which felt like a thoughtful extra touch. Setup was quick, everything felt safe and easy, and we were lucky enough to keep it overnight, which made for some very happy, very tired kiddos. Apex Pickleball Club is opening January 1, and it’s a welcome new spot for anyone who’s been chasing courts around town.

The new 49,000-square-foot complex will have 16 courts, locker rooms, a pro shop, and private party rooms. There’s also a restaurant and bar on the way called PickleDilly’s, expected to open mid-January. They’re planning on keeping things lively with classes, tournaments, and special events throughout the year.
